Open and close Tilexa

Press ⌃⌥L, choose Open Tilexa from the menu bar icon, or set a hot corner (Pro). You can change the shortcut in Settings → General, and put Tilexa in the Dock from the same tab.

To close it, press Esc, click an empty spot or switch to another desktop.

Find an app

Start typing as soon as the grid opens. Press Return to open the first match.

Some apps are missing

Tilexa lists the apps in /Applications, /System/Applications and your own ~/Applications folder. Move an app into one of those folders and it appears.

My shortcut doesn’t work

Another app may already use it. Settings shows a warning when that happens. Choose a different combination.

Rearrange or delete apps

Hold ⌥ Option, or press and hold an icon, until the icons jiggle. Drag to rearrange, drop one app on another to make a folder, or click × to move an app to the Trash. Apps that came with macOS can’t be deleted.

I bought Pro on another Mac

Open Settings → Pro and click Restore Purchase. Family Sharing is included.

Move my layout to another Mac

With Pro, go to Settings → Layout → Export, then Import on the other Mac.

Bring back my old Launchpad layout

If your Mac still has it, go to Settings → Layout → Launchpad → Import Layout… (Pro). Tilexa recreates your pages and folders.
